Birthday Weekend!

April came off the bus on Wednesday with a birthday crown! She had a great day at school and we celebrated some more at home. She had cake pops and ice cream after her requested spaghetti dinner.  Aunt Sandy brought her famous sauce for our noodles, which made the pasta extra good :)

Saturday was the party day and she was happy to have her cousins and out-of-town relatives visit!!

What is it like taking a picture of 6 kids? This is probably the worst one....

And this one is the best! :)

April picked a purple theme for her party, and here she is with all her birthday loot! She loved each thing she opened!

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)
