Trick or Treat!

Did you think I wouldn't post about our trip?  Here's what Peter thinks of that: What did we do when we got to Uncle Bill and Aunt Laura's?  Played in the leaves, of course. :) Saturday morning we started early....these two liked visiting at the breakfast table.... After a trip to a local park, we met up with everyone at the pumpkin patch.  Connor and Chloe both thought it was a little too bright on this bench for pictures.... ha! Then, all the kids just had to get their picture taken by this statue.....so they posed really nicely:  Forget posing for pictures, lets get on with the fun!  First, the petting zoo area....April showed no fear. Then, the Big Slide. Peter didn't seem to mind that he was too little to ride.  He got to hang with Aunt Chelle!! Two Brave Kiddos rode all by themselves! Strong Pap did a feats-of-strength.... Then Tom showed everyone what's what by doing it with one arm!

5 months

This picture says a lot about Peter at 5 months - very happy....very wiggly. :)  See that blurry hand? those and his legs are pretty much moving all the time, unless he's sleeping!! What a delightful baby! :)  He's talking more and more....eating cereal....about to drop the late-night feeding....great napper....just a wonderful sweet boy :)  We love him!!

Rice Cereal

Two weeks ago, Peter started eating rice cereal.  I've never started a four month old on "solids", but this boy has quite the appitite, so I didn't think it would hurt to try :)  Enjoy the pictures! What is this that mom has for me? Me and my cheeks would like some. Also, did you read my funny bib? I know, hilarious.  Back to the food. First bite.  What is this? What is this thing you're sticking in my mouth?? um....I'm not sure.... I'll perform the death grip on your finger while I attempt to swallow. Keeping a careful eye on that stick mom keeps pushing towards me.... Oh! The cereal, not that bad! :)

Pumpkin Patch

I took my youngest two "pumpkins" to the Pumpkin Patch with a group from church.  Chloe had school, but she'll be getting a pumpkin there at the end of the month.....which ended the disappointment of not coming with us ;) April was quite thoughtful about which pumpkin to pick for herself and for Peter.   After the wagon ride, picking pumpkins, and a corn maze, the kiddos get to sit on benches while listening to a talk on growing pumpkins and roasting the seeds.....April was actually paying attention during this because she talked about it on the way home! The Giant Slide was remembered from last year .... April went down at least six times :)  She also had no fear feeding these goats at the farm area!  She seemed to like the hand sanitizer just as much ;) Can't hardly believe it's pumpkin-patch time already! These months are flying by!

Kitchen Re-Do

We recently painted our kitchen!  Above are the before pictures - two from our home inspection when we bought the house, the middle one is more recently with my 'stuff' on the counter. Below are the pictures with the new wall and cabinet colors.  The cream is the same paint we have in our living room and the blue on the cabinets is so much nicer looking than that horrible green color!
