Week in Review

Easter happened right before April Hope made her entrance into the world. We started Saturday with an egg hunt at Grandma B's....the Bunny hid the eggs in tricky places, but Chloe managed to find a few: We then woke up on Easter Sunday and headed to church, lunch at Mommom B's, visiting with cousins, saying hello to Mommom R, and then.... We headed to the hospital at 6:00pm on Sunday night to start the process of being induced. I thought I was going to have an overnight treatment and start pitocin in the morning. When I got there, I was pronounced "3cms dilated" and started pitocin that night instead! I labored through the night and at 3:30 was at 6cms. At 4:10, I told the nurse I felt like this baby was coming and she started prepping for the baby's arrival. At 4:30 I started pushing and 3 contractions later, April Hope was born! (I think this totally makes up for the 3 hours I spent pushing Chloe into the world!) We were excited to meet her: And later in

Happy Wedding Day!

Happy Wedding Day Mark and JungMin! We hope you had a wonderful day! We can't wait to see you as a married couple in July! Love, Kevin, Alison, Chloe, and April (I'll be posting our "week in review" tomorrow ~ and there will be pictures of April Hope!)

April Hope

Praise God! We are thrilled to announce the birth of April Hope, born this morning at 4:42 a.m. and weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz. and 20.5 inches long. We think she is beautiful! Both April and Alison are doing great. Here are just a few of many pictures taken on her first day. More to come... April Hope Alison and April Chloe meets her little sister April A very proud mom and dad

Happy Easter

"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100 We hope you have a wonderful Easter celebrating the Risen Lord!

This is Serious....

a few recent picture of "serious" Chloe: Getting ready for Easter and Baby Sister! I don't think our house can get much cleaner :) I'm running out of things to organize :) I do have a doctor's appointment today, so we'll see if there has been any change from last week!

Who Will Win?

I'm wondering who will win the baby pool.....Not Grandma B or Mommom R.....but maybe Kevin? We can hope!!

39 Weeks

I had my 39 week appointment at the doctors today and received word that I'm "showing signs of nearing delivery".....Wah hoo! We are excited to meet this little girl :) I've finished up projects in the girls' room. We hung this quilt (made by Abby Sanders) before Chloe was born and it inspired the rest of the projects: A pinwheel pillow: Pinwheel dresser tops: This is the new baby's family tree. It's a bit different than Chloe's ~ of course all the names are the same :) So come on Baby! We're ready to meet you :)

Spring has Sprung!

Spring weather has finally showed up....which means that some of us have been out in the garden, digging in the dirt: Finding worms (which she promptly threw back into the garden!)... and getting ready for vegetable season.... In other news, we brought Chloe out to the car for a photo opt: Turns out Kevin's car hasn't been dusted for at least 100,000 miles ;) Tomorrow I have my 39 week appointment at the doctors and will update you all on any progress made to meet this new little girl! I had some contractions over the weekend that didn't result in a baby being born, but maybe sooner rather than later!
