Right after this picture was taken, she let go of the basket.... Just an update that April now stands on her own - she can get to standing without pulling up on anything too....gets herself on her feet and hands and then slowly lifts up....and then has a proud look on her face :) She also likes to sway back and forth when she stands (and is still holding on) ....walking is right around the corner!

Stomp Rocket

At Christmas time, Uncle Mark and Aunt JungMin sent some presents to the girls. April has been having a blast in the tub with her new bath toys....but Chloe had to wait for warmer weather to use her gift. Well, the sun was out the other day and so was the new toy: The Stomp Rocket. First, we got out the rockets & Daddy put the 'stomp' part together.... Chloe loaded up a rocket: It's as easy as: One Two Three Chloe LOVED it :) And so did April....doesn't she seem impressed? ;) We had so much fun with it that we brought it to Connor's house to show him: One Two Three Chloe's action shot: April :) Thanks for the great gift Uncle Mark and Aunt JungMin! You'll have to play with it when you come this summer!! :)

Trip with the Girls

Last week, I took the girls on a trip....to see Connor! :) Who wouldn't want to spend 5 hours in the car/rest stops with a 2 1/2 year old and baby to see this sweet face? :) Everyone was excited to get out of the car and start playing when we got there. Connor was such a nice boy to Chloe and April. He shared all his great toys, let us come to his swim-night and music class, and had his Mom serve us great food :) See this 'guy' next to April? She loved him! "Steel-y" is the name of her new friend and she spent some time 'talking' with him each day....she might have thought he was a dog.... We also spent a lot of time looking out the windows (love those low windows at Bill and Laura's!): Over three days, these three had a great time together :) The weather was so nice that we got to play outside and take a few walks. Chloe got to go get ice-cream with Aunt Laura too! Even Schnookums gets the royal treatment at Aunt Laura's :) I asked Chloe what

April Hope is 11 months!

Only one more month until she's 1! April has been on the move this month ~ starting with some pulling up ... and then standing up with letting go ... and walking is probably sooner than I'd like! :) She continues to be a very easy-going little girl ... She still enjoys looking through the bookshelf, and now likes crawling all over to get to the toy she wants. She has been able to get outside a lot this past month too and seems to enjoy the fresh air, but maybe not the grass! She usually holds one leg up in the air if she's on the grass -- trying to get out! April has started eating table food this month. She loves bananas and most fruit, but hasn't really refused to eat anything! Miss April has a stubborn streak and will let Mom or Dad know when something isn't going her way. She can be very loud when she's 'talking' too - waving her arms around while 'shouting' something :) Maybe she's just trying to be heard over big sister!! We love y

Comb-Over

Chloe wanted her picture taken with April ~ so I sat them down on the couch to try to get a good one (if at least one is willing...why not try?) These pictures prove that April was not the willing party: So Chloe got to have her picture taken, without April :)

Lucky

Lucky to have these girls in my life! Happy St. Patrick's Day :)

If the Shoe Fits...

or even if it doesn't...

Hat

After sunglasses, the next cutest thing on a baby is a hat. Especially those with a chin-strap :) It was nice on Sunday, so we spent some time outside and April happened to be wearing a cute pink hat and a pink sweater.....Something Chloe wore at the same time almost exactly 2 years ago: Love it :)

Singing a Tune!

wouldn't want to use the mic after her! :)

Visit to Mimi & Poppop's

We got to visit with Mimi and Poppop this past weekend! We started off the weekend with a visit from Mrs. Fay - and April wanted to show her shades off while Mrs. Fay was there :) Chloe taught her about her computer: and we got this picture of the two together - Can you see the love between them? :) I think the other highlight of the trip (besides Mimi's wonderful cooking) was a trip to a local playground & seeing the ducks. I was back at the house to watch over April while she was napping (really hard work!) and Mimi stayed back too (to do a hard job of cooking a turkey!) so it was just Dad, Poppop, and Chloe. Here she is with the ducks! oh, I didn't mention that she had NO FEAR of these ducks? I mean, seriously, no fear. They come up to her waist and here she is casually feeding one FROM HER HAND. After the bread, she moved on to dried corn kernels - I don't know who was more excited, the ducks or Chloe! :) Meanwhile, back at home, April was teaching Uncle Sandy ho
