Happy Easter!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we; Spotless Lamb of God was He; “Full atonement!” can it be? Hallelujah! What a Savior! Lifted up was He to die; “It is finished!” was His cry; Now in Heav’n exalted high. Hallelujah! What a Savior! When He comes, our glorious King, All His ransomed home to bring, Then anew His song we’ll sing: Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Photo Shoot

I try to take pictures before holidays of the girls "dressed up fancy" for the purpose of sending out some in the mail....or, posting one on the blog.... Well, I tried doing this last week for Easter.  April's dress is no-where to be found (of course, she has numerous other choices, and will be wearing purple and white), so I put her in her navy dress even though she's got a white hat....Chloe LOVES this dress from Chelle's wedding, so she's more than happy to wear pink shoes & hat to match. So, while everyone was happy with their hats and fancy socks....not very many happy pictures were taken. See? April liked to hold down the sides of her hat and spin around.... Chloe was just leaning into the wall and singing at one point.... Must. Look. At. The. Hat. Mommy wasn't too happy. But this? Every time I look at it, I burst out laughing.  Now, come back to see the two good ones I got on Easter Sunday! :)
Because, even though it's snowing today....sometimes we need our shades any way! :)

Two Weekends Ago

I try to keep up to date with pictures, but last week was crazy ...so this post didn't get done....but now I've got a little time since the snow canceled Bible Study this morning! Here is what we were up to 2 weekends ago: We visited Mimi and Poppop!  My cousin Alissa was having her Baby Shower nearby, so it was a good excuse to go for the weekend.  Although we got to see them at Matt's wedding, Chloe and April haven't seen their great-grandparents since Christmas! What was the first thing we did? Eat ice-cream :) The shower was on Saturday & my sister Laura drove up to be there too.  We had fun getting lost in a town that is three blocks long, but made it and had a great time! Why stop the fun when we got home?  On Sunday night we had a pizza party with my parents & sister and brother-in-law.  They had been at a wedding in Ohio and were driving through to get home.  It was fun to see them....The girls put on their "dancer girl&qu

Chloe's Quilt

When we first started prepping for a transition to twin beds for Chloe and April, I started seeing pictures online of these "scrappy trip quilts" that seemed to be pretty easy to put together.  6 rows on a diagonal lend the pattern to many different designs...plus, there was a "cheat" step so as not to sew itty-bitty squares together. I started this process at the end of January.  I bought material, started Chloe's and Aprils, bought more material, charted out which squares I would need.....stopped working on April's, since she has her bed rail up (a good enough excuse) and just focused on getting Chloe's done. Today, we put it on her bed!! 6 rows by 8 rows....48 blocks....288 strips of fabric....15 bobbin re-fills :)  She seems to like it :)

Pose

I took this picture of April the other night and as soon as I took it, I thought of this picture of Chloe These two are getting to be good friends ~ some days more than others ~ but they do like to play with each other!!! Here they are a few weeks ago with their snowman!

Princess Girls

We got a set of "Princess Girls" at Christmas time that have provided hours of entertainment for Chloe and April. The other day they were working together on this grand set-up. I found that Sleeping Beauty was life guarding Tiana while she was in the tub: And while Ariel, Belle, Snow White, and an extra princess (from a happy meal!) were sitting at the table.... Cinderella was in the kitchen!! :)

10 on 10 for March

Maybe I should just make this project "11 on 11" since this is the second time I've done the post on the 11th :)  These pictures are from the other day, but the video I posted on Saturday was too cute to not be the first post for a few days ;) Here we go! They are mostly in "order"....which a large gap of time when were having fun playing outside in the sunshine! Picnic lunch on the couch after church.   Daddy has been sick yesterday & today, so we were keeping the upstairs quiet for him. Making cards for Daddy: The patient.... A pretty purple flower from a friend! I wore these! :) Oh, how nice the sunshine was! New iron-board cover! So cheery! Projecting.... quilting....quilting....quilting.... Hand-me downs from church friends.   A huge sort of sizes occurred today! Working on a donation for an auction....and noticed this little green o :)

ABCs with April

Poor thing, she has no personality ;)

Daddy Daughter Dance

we did nails... and hair... and her date had a matching tie. These two had fun together at the Daddy Daughter Dance at our church last Saturday! :) Of course, this cutie had to get her picture taken with the handsome Daddy too :) She hung out with me at home for the evening watching a movie.  I guess it's not a bad second option! :)

Nurse Chloe and Nurse April

NOT doctors. Nurses. :)  It's a new thing here at our house! We recently came upon some pink bandages....and our friends have a doctor kit that has an old-fashioned "nurse hat" which is really a dr's 'headband', but I'm following her lead :) So, if you're feeling sick, wouldn't you trust these sweet faces for your care?? I totally would (not). She does a great job making sure everyone is feeling well! April is a little less interested in the care idea, she just likes to wear the headband :)
