Happy Halloween!!

Weekend Travels

We left on Friday for a trip ~ we visited Uncle Bill, Aunt Laura, and Connor!  Chloe has been so excited to see them.  I think Connor was excited to see us: April was excited to see the fish: And Chloe was excited to ride in the Little Coupe Car: Daddy found a tree to climb :)  This tree has lost almost all it's leaves & Uncle Bill had been making a big pile around the trunk. We played in the leaves before dinner.  The little slide was moved so the kids would land in the pile.....April thought it was fun..... Chloe did too.... Connor hated it.  But then he came around :) After dinner we went to a local playground and had a blast. All three kids fit on this slide! Bedtime was a breeze that night -- all that fresh air wore everyone out!! The next morning, we met up with Monnor, Pap, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle Tom at a local pumpkin patch.  There was a petting zoo, a hay ride, a few games, and of course, pumpkins!   There

Pumpkin Patch 2012

You might remember from last year , we visited a Pumpkin Patch....and we went back this year! April was a pumpkin head again this year :)  And we had just as much fun!  We had a sunny morning and by the end we were walking without coats on.    (Chloe tried to eat hers last year too! Pumpkins look delicious I guess!) Chloe tried the slide that she was too afraid of last year.  April cried because I wouldn't let her.  I was scared that she'd fly off the side! Next year :) There is a small farm at the end of the play area.  You can get a handful of corn to feed the goats, sheep, and cow.  There is a warning NOT to feed the pigs because they bite.   April waited to feed the cow! Great way to start celebrating Fall!

Baking

It takes about twice as long to make cookies when I have my helpers with me.  But they have so much fun, it's hard not to include them! :)  April got to stand on the chair last weekend while we were baking - the look on her face was priceless, I think she thought she was really 'big' :)

April Tries an Olive

We don't think she liked it.  Oh well, more for me! :)

Couch Hangout

Both girls like to hang out on our couch in the morning....and while waiting for Daddy to come home!

Engineer Mom

Need a baby sling? No problem. We saw a parade over the weekend, and both Chloe & April were in need of a bass drum harness. I got that. It's fun to try to think up ways to help them use their imaginations!!!

Fall Fashion

In the adjustment period of cool mornings, warm afternoons, and Mom trying to get the right season's clothes in the drawers.....we had one (or a few!) interesting outfits around here lately..... Check out April's attire: and from the back: I realize the helmet isn't making things any better.....and Chloe could hardly believe that April would step out of the house in that! But, as you see from the photo below, it's not like her's was much better :) Polka dots, stripes, boots, hearts, bike-helmets on non-bike riders.....we love them regardless :)
