Sleepy Baby

Peter William has arrived!

I was due on the 19th....and on Wednesday morning at my appointment, I scheduled to be induced starting Thursday morning.  When I got back from that appointment, my phone was ringing.  It was Laura, who said she might have to go back to the hospital for some monitoring....which led to an induction starting Thursday morning....So we had our babies on the same day! It was the first time I had a baby during daylight hours! :)  Here I am, with pitocin started, waiting for my epidural.  After that, the doctor broke my water.... Two hours (and one short nap) later, I was at 9 cms, and they started getting ready to push.  It was very calm, no rushing around....One and half pushes later, Peter William was born!  He was 8 pounds, 7 ounces, 21 inches long.  Later that night, the Big Sisters came to visit!  Kisses for Peter: We were very thankful that Mawna and Pap were here and able to watch the girls for us -- Mawna took the day off, Pap got Chloe to dance cl

Finished!

Chloe's last day at her Preschool was on Monday.  They had a special program for parents (and siblings) to attend and she did a great job with a lot of songs and motions! I think my favorite was "He's a peach of a Savior" ~ ask her to sing it for you sometime!! :) This is Chloe on the First Day in September: and the Last Day in May! It went really fast :) Also this week, Chloe had a stage rehearsal for her dance recital which is coming up.  How little do these girls look on that big stage! She did a great job! :)

Reading Adventure Day!

Chloe's Preschool has a Reading Adventure Day where the classroom is decorated (really, really decorated) to look like scenes from a book.  This year, the room was transformed into a rainforest.  The children help paint animals, greenery, and other decorations along the way - each room was covered and changed into different things!!  They also paint a self-portrait and make a page about themselves. Family members are allowed to go in the evening to check out the school and projects.  We also got to see the butterflies and chicks that have hatched in the last few weeks.

Mother's Day Weekend

Beautiful weather was enjoyed over last weekend.  We went downtown and had a great time (with slow walking) along the river :) Saw some baby geese!! Then, I got to go to a special Daughters of the King Luncheon with these girls.  Don't they look sweet?  I think they are going to look extremely grown up the minute their baby brother arrives!! This week we are trying to beat the heat and fit in a few more things before adding to our family.  Looking forward to next week at this time -- he should be here by then!!

Nursery Progress

This is what the room looked like before we moved everything out.  And....now!  It's the same paint color, just a different camera :)  There is a slight golf-theme.  I embroidered some golf things and hung that above the crib, and then there are child-sized clubs hanging above the changing table.  The bookends are also a golf bag and clubs, but that's kind of hard to see in the picture!  I'm in the process of making a family tree which will be framed and hung above the dresser. In the home stretch!....or, is there a golf term I should be using as a reference instead? :)  Excited to meet this little guy!!

Warmer Weather

Some warm-weather activities don't change from year to year. Here we are, watching Daddy mow the grass!
