Corn on the Cob

Interesting fact: Alison's favorite food is corn. And, we had corn for dinner! :)  April's first piece of corn on the cob: This is Chloe in the middle of announcing "I LOVE CORN" :)  Girl after my own heart.

Chub

While the chicken pox (yes, it was diagnosed on Monday the 25th) might have slowed her appetite, I have no fear for April's small size.  I took these pictures the other day and think they show just how big her belly is.  She looks like Santa. :)  And we love her!

Olympic Hopeful :)

Pool Honey

I called each of them a " Pool Honey "....but only I got the reference :) Chloe loved the water, laying down and "swimming" on her own!  April stood in one spot the whole time....and didn't want to go any further.... Chlo-bug spent a lot of time watering the garden: and April had more fun playing "peek-a-boo" from inside :)

Happy Father's Day!

To the Best Daddy  who plays with...  hangs out with.... and reads to.... two little girls who adore him.  We love you!! :) And, Happy Father's Day to our Dads: Pap Grandpa
We stand and lift up our hands for the joy of the Lord is our strength we bow down and worship Him now how great, how awesome is He and together we sing, everyone sing   Holy is the Lord, God Almighty The earth is filled with His glory Holy is the Lord, God Almighty the earth is filled with His glory the earth is filled with His glory

She's got a grip

Since she was old enough to grasp on to things, April has had an amazing grip. Pap likes to call it her "gecko grip" :) I took these pictures the other night and thought it was pretty good for her to be able to "palm" a baseball at 13 months old :) hmm...what do we have here? oh, a baseball. I got it, no prob... Dad, what do I do with it now? Throw it? Left-handed pitching is where it's at! I have such a strong grip, I can't seem to let go. Just hanging out with the ball I can't let go of... Um, you want me to hold this too? How about I just kick it instead? Mom, do you see me holding this ball upside-down??  I've got mad skills.

Chloe can Ride!

Chloe can ride her tricycle! She took her first trip on the flat part of our street last week.... After we knew that she could ride, it was time to buy a helmet.  Get used to this look people, this helmet is the new love of her life.   She wanted to wear it to the library, she wore it all afternoon to show Dad as soon as he got home, and she has told everyone she knows about the helmet.  She LOVES it. She'll have a farmer's tan and helmet-hair all summer.  But, I love that she's excited about bike riding :)
Excuse me while I check my email...

Riders

Two little girls like to get rides in the wheelbarrow :) I think this is a fun one to look at and compare their features.  (I think that April still looks like my cousin Erin when she was younger) Daddy asked for a ride, but didn't get very far :)
