5th Annual

I can hardly believe that it was the 5th Annual Camping trip with the Deterdings! Makes me feel old :) Here we are in 2006: Here we are in 2010: (Kevin has the same shirt on in both pictures!!!) Not only have the families expanded, the campsite set-up has too! 2006: 2010: We met up with our fellow campers on Friday evening at Codorus State Park and had smudgie pies for dinner ... and Heather brought birthday cupcakes to celebrate Kevin and my birthdays. We even had candles! Thank goodness for a neighboring camper who knew about a pool - the one at the campground was closed for repairs! We headed to a nearby town's local pool on Saturday afternoon and stayed for a while. Chloe enjoyed the water...but when she started drinking it, we headed back to the chairs for juice: Steve and Kevin wowed the crowd with their big splash tricks: Heather said something on Saturday about how it was a bit busy with all the kiddos. We will enjoy each trip, but as soon as these girls can ride bikes

Corn on the Cob

(thank you Uncle Warren for the photo!)

Future Alumni?

GCC sent us a t-shirt when they found out Chloe was born. She's just now big enough to wear the shirt and we tried to get a picture of her for the alumni magazine.....It went really great: We ended up with one good one out of the group...look for it in the alumni magazine :)

Happy Birthday Kevin!

Kevin is a wonderful husband and a great dad to Chloe. We think he's the best! He is a proud dad, likes to win, but isn't a sore loser, loves his family, is a hard worker, and is always ready for some fun!

Happy Birthday Laura!

To the greatest twin sister, (one of two) best sister-in-laws, and most wonderful Aunt Laura we've got - hope your day is wonderful. We love you!

Last Weekend

Last weekend we visited Kevin's parents and I just uploaded the pictures....So here is a little of what we did while we visited: Played with some toys ~ Chloe really liked this blue ball! Took a walk on the (moving) treadmill...guess who's idea this was.... Read some books Learned about the cash register with Dad: Picked out the notes to a few songs: Enjoyed traveling to see Grandpa and Grandma S.! We had a great visit and are looking forward to the next one! :)

UNCLE Kevin and AUNT Alison

In case the title of the blog post didn't give it away....How about this picture? We're just a little excited for Chloe to have a cousin! Congratulations Bill and Laura! Baby Hoffman is due mid-January :)

Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination

Pool Time

We have enjoyed the pool twice in the last week because of the heat ~ Chloe likes the pool and kicks her feet in the water to "swim" (which is really a natural reaction, but we'll call it swimming) :)

God Bless America...and cute babies

My pictures from the Fourth are still on my camera....but these ones are WAY better. Thanks to my cousin Erin and my Uncle Warren, I can share these with you. It was a hot weekend, but we had fun, and Chloe loved every minute of holding Aunt Laura's American flag :)
