April Turned 3!

She had a wonderful birthday weekend - if her face in these pictures doesn't prove it already :) Blowing out the candles on her cake on the 25th: The 26th was her "Party Day".  We had some fruit supplied by a certain Aunt and Uncle: More cake! Opening presents.  I was sitting beside April and her reaction to each gift was great.  She'd quietly whisper "wow" or "like Chloe's" ...Everything was loved immediately.  This picture shows Chloe's reaction to most of the gifts.  Up, out of her seat, checking out the gift.  In this picture, she's "taking care of" April's new babydoll while seeing the new Strawberry Shortcake house. The rest of the day was spent outside enjoying the sunshine.  Of course, the new barbies came along! Mawna made her a violet-chain bracelet... Before dinner we took our kite to the local football field....this girl did about 4 laps, 2 of them ski

Happy Birthday April!

What a fast year this has been!  We love you very much ~ looking forward to seeing you in a new role this year: Big Sister. Here is a picture of April each month of the last year....Enjoy!

Easter Weekend Recap

Our holiday weekend started on Friday with a trip to our local Children's Museum, with Uncle Bill, Aunt Laura, Connor, and Mawna.  This is the one time all three of the kids were doing the same thing ;) Love this one of Aunt Laura and Chloe ~ they were working on a computer board & puzzle activity....Laura is the only person I've ever seen that actually knows how to work it! :) Saturday morning we headed to my parents for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Here are all the kiddos, ready to hunt for some eggs! This is the face April made when she was told her eggs were orange.  Each child gets a specific color to find, making it fair.....April, I guess, was expecting her eggs to be pink.  There were no pink eggs, and she did collect her orange ones! :) She also made friends with Clara on the porch step after the hunting was over! :) Now what is this child doing? Not listening to her mother? Actually, she's ready for Uncle Bill's s

Resurrection Day!

No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand; Till He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

New Master Bedroom

I called this "the project before the project"....in order to have a space for our baby boy, a move was in order -- Kevin and I moved downstairs to the third bedroom. Most of the time we've lived here, the bedroom has looked like this: Well, not empty....pretty full of baby stuff, etsy shop things, stuff for the swimming pool....It was a catch-all place.  Then, we cleared it out and the renovations began! A new window was installed, new ceiling, a fan (which Kevin did by himself!) and new paint....carpet replaced the tiles. Then, we had some help from Tom to move the furniture one weekend. A trip to the store for a new bedspread and some fabric for a curtain (and coordinating pillow!) and it's almost done!   We'll be hanging up some pictures and I'd like to do something fun with different frames and items under the window (since we don't have the mirror attached to our long dresser anymore).   Now the room upstair
