Easter Weekend Recap

Our holiday weekend started on Friday with a trip to our local Children's Museum, with Uncle Bill, Aunt Laura, Connor, and Mawna.

This is the one time all three of the kids were doing the same thing ;)

Love this one of Aunt Laura and Chloe ~ they were working on a computer board & puzzle activity....Laura is the only person I've ever seen that actually knows how to work it! :)

Saturday morning we headed to my parents for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Here are all the kiddos, ready to hunt for some eggs!

This is the face April made when she was told her eggs were orange.  Each child gets a specific color to find, making it fair.....April, I guess, was expecting her eggs to be pink.  There were no pink eggs, and she did collect her orange ones! :)

She also made friends with Clara on the porch step after the hunting was over! :)

Now what is this child doing? Not listening to her mother?

Actually, she's ready for Uncle Bill's science experiment:  an exploding egg!

Here are the girls (we took this after Clara and her parents left, we'll have to remember to do it before they leave next year!):

and....the very silly boys....

We stayed at my parents in the afternoon....visiting and resting, while Bill and Kevin picked up and installed our new oven (ours broke the Sunday before!)....

Later, we opened Easter gifts from Mawna and Pap.....

New crocs! :)

And, making this one of the longest days in history, we packed everyone up and headed to our mall to ride the train!!  Our children are still sporting their new crocs, which is possibly the clearest thing in this next picture :)  They were all so excited to ride!

Sunday morning was a mad dash to get ready and be at church on time.  I might have the girls dress up again soon for nicer pictures.....this one is a little deer-in-the-headlights & ruffled-collar-not-looking to be the only one of the two of them! :)

but, this one, taken before lunch at my grandma's, is a winner for sure!  These three kids love their Mawna!

And, because this doesn't happen everyday....Laura and I got our picture taken together with our week-apart pregnant bellies!  Next time we'll see each other, our babies will be meeting each other!

Baby Pool

Want to guess when Baby #2 is going to arrive? Post a comment, or send me an email, with your guess and I'll add you in! As a review, here are the rules to the game (taken from Heather Deterding!): 1. Post your guess for the baby's arrival in the "comment" section. Be sure to specify both date and time of day -- either "am" or "pm". 2. Limit one guess per person, and only one entry per time slot-- no sharing! 3. Winner is determined based on time of birth. For example, if the baby is born on April 20th at 7 AM, a guess of "April 20th, AM" would be the winner. In the event that there is no entry for the correct arrival time, the next closest guess based on actual time of birth would win. 4. We will post entries on the Calendar above. Check prior entries before placing your guess! Dates not displayed on the calendar above are still up for grabs. 5. The winner will receive... bragging rights and a congratulatory post h...

April Hope

Praise God! We are thrilled to announce the birth of April Hope, born this morning at 4:42 a.m. and weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz. and 20.5 inches long. We think she is beautiful! Both April and Alison are doing great. Here are just a few of many pictures taken on her first day. More to come... April Hope Alison and April Chloe meets her little sister April A very proud mom and dad

Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination ...
