BarDavHoffSand Camping

After a rainy start, we ended up having a great camping trip! Pine Grove Furnace State Park is where we met up and Thursday afternoon Peter got to go canoeing. The rest of Thursday was spent at the lake-beach and have a delicious dinner! Friday morning we set off for a hike. All the kids did great! Kevin posed with the kids when we finished. "Strong arms" for this photo op - it was a rocky, steep climb and they finished! After dinner on Friday we ventured out of the campground to find some ice cream! Saturday morning's biker-gang. :) Before packing up, we did more canoeing to finish our time at the lake :)

Idlewild

These Pineapple folks were ready for a fun day :)   Storybook Forest was first on the list. Chloe says it's one of her favorite parts of Idlewild! We eventually made it to the kiddie-rides and Brooke & Peter had a fun time. April and Connor rode some too, and Chloe was a good sport! And then, the first ride on the Scrambler. This was a favorite! When we were as hot as we could possibly imagine, we did the SoakZone!  After that, more rides and Pap got tickets for everyone to play some games. This is another favorite of my kiddos: the fishing game. Kevin was THRILLED that the log-jammer ride was open this year. This is him and the girls going down one last time. Our group in front of our favorite ride - we rode it on the last go-around before closing the park for the day!

Nature Fun!

Monday was a nice day last week and the kids and I marked something off the "bucket list" for the summer.  Hiked a trail, did the tree-look-out, saw a pond, and played before heading home for lunch. It was a nice, relaxing morning!
