14 Weeks!

Kevin took this picture and then laughed.  Apparently, I look tired.  I am growing a baby, so I guess that's okay :)  This was last week - I'm about 15 weeks now....the ultrasound at 20 weeks is getting closer! This is what babycenter.com says about 15 weeks: Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long , crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple ). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut , she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam.

Light Up Night

We've been to downtown's light up night in the past....this year, we stuck to our little town's celebration instead.  Had a good time with Chloe and April! So excited....we made them wait for a few minutes in the car...and took some pictures :) It was only 12 degrees (or, 20, but windy!) and it didn't seem like a good idea to stay out longer than we needed to! They were passing out free glow-stick necklaces....and then the girls posed by the tree.... The big kids were whipping around their glow-necklaces.  April carefully observed, and then started in on that fun.  We made sure she wasn't standing nearby anyone.... :) At the same time the tree lit up, fireworks started!  Both girls were a little overwhelmed, but kept watching and ended up enjoying the show.  Afterwards we went in to the library and the school's cafeteria for crafts and refreshments.  It was a nice celebration!

In Case You Didn't Know....

I'm going to be an Aunt again! :)   Laura and Bill are due with #2 at the end of May!! :)  We decided to wait until we went to see them for Trick-or-Treat to tell them about #3.  Imagine our surprise when they had the same news :)  Can't wait to see how we look at Easter :)

Scissoring

she was concentrating on this for a while.  and loved it :)

Thank You!

Thank you to Poppop and Grandpa for their previous service, and to Uncle Tom for his current service to our great country!  We are thankful for you - and proud to be Americans! Happy Veteran's Day!
