Catch Up

We've had an exciting few weeks here...and I have to catch up on some events!

Chloe started going to preschool two mornings a week.  She loves it so far...and it's been nice to have some Mommy-April time too!

After our first week of school, we had friends come for the weekend! We've known the Jones' since college and it was fun to see them :)  On Saturday we went to a local park...and took the bikes...

Then, Saturday evening the Jones' got to meet Miss Hazel - and she participated in dress-up with the big girls!

We toasted marshmallows after dinner...

and attempted a kids picture right before they left on Sunday morning!! This one looks pretty good because I cropped out the blurry feet :)

After church, we went to my parents for a cookout...because, Connor was in town!!

Good thing it warmed up a little bit...ice cream is best eaten outside ;)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
