The Questions

After our dinner-time devotions, we usually go over a few Catechism questions.  April has caught on to two of the answers:
This is all the way back from January, but I realized I never posted it.  It's the best way to learn as an adult -- have a toddler that you're trying to teach!! :)  Chloe can answer 20 questions, this video is of 16 I think....We hope that by teaching them these questions and answers, both Chloe and April will have a foundation on which to build their faith.  We pray that their hearts are softened to the Lord at a young age!!

fun to see...but a little hard to translate....
I think April actually answers the first question in the older video too.
Great that you are teaching them so much!
love to all

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
