Grandpa and Grandma Visit

Over the past weekend, Kevin's parents came to visit! The visit started with an exciting event:

After an extended holiday at Mimi and Poppops (read: we forgot her on Dec. 26th....) Baby Shnookums was returned to our home by Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa got to do the honors of presenting the missing baby......Chloe was just a little excited:

and what would you do if your baby was gone for 19 days? Feed her, of course. So that's what Chloe set out to do, all while playing with Grandma and April:

We also opened Christmas presents from Kevin's aunt and uncle who we missed over the holiday. Chloe loves this microphone (it plays songs as well as records!).
and checked out a new coloring book from Grandma:
they soon discovered it also had stickers.....

and Chloe was more than willing to share!

On Saturday afternoon, we headed to a local train museum (Alison's parents and sister met us there). Here is Chloe running one of the trains!

April seemed to enjoy looking at all the displays!

3 generations of train enthusiasts:

and when we got home, Grandpa and Chloe caught up on some railroad-reading:

and Grandma taught Chloe the value of saving.....and yes, she's putting them in her bank, and a few in April's :)

April can't talk yet, but her shirt says it all!

We had a great visit :) Already looking forward to the next one!

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
