Chloe at 2

Chloe is 2 and loving life! :) She had a wonderful birthday - started with cupcakes and a present at Mommom R.'s on Thursday and ended with Mommom B and Aunt Nancy coming on Monday. We'll have some more celebrating this weekend when Kevin's side of the family comes to visit.

Big items included a picnic table from Grandma and Grandpa B.....and a basketball hoop from Mom and Dad :) She's being trained to be the next Sheryl Swoops ;)

oh yeah, and Michelle brought meatballs to dinner and Chloe couldn't get enough:

This little girl remains the best sleeper in the house - goes to bed at 8:00 and wakes up between 8 and 8:30 in the morning. She takes a 2 hour nap in the afternoon too! She likes all kinds of food and prefers orange juice over most other drinks (except milk...they are probably tied). Popsicle and "ice ice" (ice cream) are favorite desserts :)

She adores her baby dolls and is always taking care of one of them. She likes for Mom or Dad to spread out a blanket for the dolls to do 'tummy time' while April does her tummy time.

She is learning about listening and obeying the first time she is asked. Time-outs seem to work well as a punishment - she doesn't like sitting still!

Chloe Grace is full of energy and fun. She is almost always busy doing something around our house and likes to play with others. The church nursery and the library are her favorite places to go - although she behaves very well any other place too (grocery store, post office, bank).
She makes us laugh and grit our teeth all in the same 15 minute time span. She's the girl that I spend the most time with each day (April takes more naps!) and I couldn't ask for someone better to spend my time with. We love you Chloe!

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
