July Vacation Part 1

We left on the 13th of July to go see a U2 concert....that happened to be close by to Kevin's parents -- and also happened to be during the time of Uncle Mark's visit to the States with his new bride, JungMin. Talk about perfect timing! We got to our destination on Thursday the 14th, and Mark and JungMin got to meet April:

and they also got to hang out with Chloe. This was JungMin's first time in the States, so it was her first time meeting Chloe as well!

Oh yeah, and the concert was absolutely over-the-top cool :) Even if they aren't your favorite (Steve D.), you'd get caught up in the excitement when the band members walk in - it's hard not to when an entire stadium of people is on their feet cheering!! We went to the concert with Jeff and Liz Jones and it was really fun to catch up with them :)

The next morning, we met up with our friends the Jones' and our girls got a chance to play together. We spent about 45 minutes at the playground before giving up and heading to the air-conditioned chick-fil-a :)

After our lunch, we headed back to Kevin's parents house and we decided that JungMin and Mark don't really like April ;) Ha!

and they gave some great gifts to Chloe - this puppy has been named Lucky and we took the other toy to the pool already (it's a little bird that fills with water and whistles).

This is called a hanbok, which is traditional Korean wedding attire. Mark gave one to Chloe when she was born and we brought it along with us. Mark and JungMin had brought theirs from Korea, so we had to take a picture with them all together :)

Saturday we went to Mimi and Popop's house for a "Welcome JungMin/Sanders Reunion/Mark Misses Mimi's Cooking" Lunch. The only person missing was Matt :( We got to meet this new little lady, "Chair-e-a" as Chloe calls her (Charity).

I think this picture is too funny - I'm obviously telling Abby something very interesting....as you can tell by the look on Jon's face ;)

Noah and Chloe got to play and we all got to visit :) It was nice to have everyone together!!

July Vacation Part 2 will be coming soon :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
