Our Weekend

The theme of the weekend was "sprinkle" I think....

We headed down to Bill and Laura's for the weekend. We were one of just a few cars headed that way to celebrate (and witness) Connor being baptized.

We made a stop at Mimi and Poppops (April's first time at their house) for lunch and nap time on Friday afternoon.

Then, we arrived at our destination right in time for dinner & fun outside. It was hot, so it was great that Bill had the pool set up outside. The Sprinkler was purchased especially for the weekend. And there were a few people that had a lot of fun:

Did you think I meant Chloe? :)

They even did some jumps:

And then someone decided to grab a little girl to make it look like the Sprinkler was not just for the adults :)

As if the weekend weren't already packed full, we participated in the neighborhood garage sale:

There were only a "sprinkling" of customers, but nothing ended up back in the house and somehow we have a new vegetable steamer....But who cares how many customers you have if you get to hang out with this happy boy all day? :)

Chloe made a new friend, Selah, and spent Saturday afternoon in the pool with her making 'soup'. Selah was very patient with Chloe....

at this point, Chloe was exhausted....and we still had one more day left - the most important day!

Laura and I actually got to sit down for a few minutes of quiet on Saturday night and took some pictures of our kiddos - they received Christmas stockings & we took their picture together.....April looks like she's ready to fight!

Sunday arrived and we got ready for church (this cutie looked like a baby doll in her little pink dress!)

The service was great & Connor did a good job in front. He was a little shocked when he got "sprinkled", but who wouldn't be? It was great to be there supporting Bill and Laura ~ we vowed to help raise Connor and we'll try to do our best :)

We had a lunch afterward....This pretty much sums up how Chloe felt:

and how Bill and Laura felt (ha!! just kidding, although we all had moments where we wanted to be making the same face as Bill!)

and just because she never takes a bad picture...."Chelle" :)

We had a great weekend and made it home for bedtime on Sunday night! We were exhausted after our first weekend away with two children, but we wouldn't have missed it & would do it again :)

Baby Pool

Want to guess when Baby #2 is going to arrive? Post a comment, or send me an email, with your guess and I'll add you in! As a review, here are the rules to the game (taken from Heather Deterding!): 1. Post your guess for the baby's arrival in the "comment" section. Be sure to specify both date and time of day -- either "am" or "pm". 2. Limit one guess per person, and only one entry per time slot-- no sharing! 3. Winner is determined based on time of birth. For example, if the baby is born on April 20th at 7 AM, a guess of "April 20th, AM" would be the winner. In the event that there is no entry for the correct arrival time, the next closest guess based on actual time of birth would win. 4. We will post entries on the Calendar above. Check prior entries before placing your guess! Dates not displayed on the calendar above are still up for grabs. 5. The winner will receive... bragging rights and a congratulatory post h...

Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination ...
