Ringing in the New Year

The last of our traveling happened over New Years weekend when we went to visit with Laura and Bill. We had dinner after we arrived on Friday night, stayed up late to get to midnight (and then went to bed at 12:15...or at least, I did!), woke up on Saturday for "Christmas morning". The boys went shooting in the afternoon and the girls had a pedicure party watching the recorded Rose Parade. Sunday we went to church (Laura and I confused a bunch of people!!) and then headed back. We had a great time all together and can't wait to get the call that our nephew is on his way! Enjoy these pictures from the weekend:

Alison!! I haven't checked on your blog in way too long. Our computer crashed awhile ago and I'm just now catching up on everything. You look adorable!! Definitely a little bit bigger this time around (welcome to a second baby), but looking great. Hope you are feeling well too. Looks like your holidays were fabulous. Get some good rest. The best is yet to come! :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
