Mini Vacation: Days 2 - 6

We spent the rest of the week visiting our friends Brad and Kelli and their little girl Emmalyn. We had a great time catching up with them and Chloe loved having a buddy to play with. Just look at this face, and you'll know Emmalyn was a great hostess:

and....she had a set of pom-poms, which Chloe loved:

On Friday morning we went to the Inner Harbor and looked at some boats:

We also happened across a playground and let the girls try it out. Check out Kelli (who is due with Baby Boy in early November) climbing around the playground. Not letting that baby bump get in her way!

Chloe's favorite part of the playground was the dirt she could pick up and let fall through her fingers....

We got to play their Wii...

and play with the cat, Lexi...

Friday night we went to a great local restaurant for dinner and then watched a movie with some peach pie made by Kelli. On Saturday we visited a local state park. Kevin and I commented how nice and flat the walking trails were! We got to stick our feet in the sand and then found some grass to let the girls walk around in.

Emmalyn helped Kevin push Chloe back to the car. She'll be a good helper when her baby brother arrives!

In the afternoon, Kevin helped Brad with a project....

We played some more....
took pictures of the "matching pigtails" girls....

and then it was off to visit Jon, Abby, and Noah! We also got to hang out with Kevin's cousin Matt and Steve, Grace, and Leah over dinner. We took a kids picture....and of course, the youngest took the best picture:

We started and ended our trip with an over-night with Mimi and Poppop. As always, it was great to see them :)

This little girl fell asleep 3 minutes after we put her in the car for the ride home. She was worn out from so much fun!!
Thanks Brad and Kelli for being great hosts! We had a wonderful visit :)

Baby Pool

Want to guess when Baby #2 is going to arrive? Post a comment, or send me an email, with your guess and I'll add you in! As a review, here are the rules to the game (taken from Heather Deterding!): 1. Post your guess for the baby's arrival in the "comment" section. Be sure to specify both date and time of day -- either "am" or "pm". 2. Limit one guess per person, and only one entry per time slot-- no sharing! 3. Winner is determined based on time of birth. For example, if the baby is born on April 20th at 7 AM, a guess of "April 20th, AM" would be the winner. In the event that there is no entry for the correct arrival time, the next closest guess based on actual time of birth would win. 4. We will post entries on the Calendar above. Check prior entries before placing your guess! Dates not displayed on the calendar above are still up for grabs. 5. The winner will receive... bragging rights and a congratulatory post h...

Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination ...
