Meeting Uncle Mark

Chloe met Uncle Mark when she was a day old....but she hasn't seen him since then. Mark works out of the country and he's home for the month of May. Over the weekend, we got together with Kevin's family and Chloe had fun visiting with Uncle Mark.

Chloe got a lot of walking in too:

She also got to hang out with Noah, her second-cousin:

I also have to post a picture of the dining room table. After I joined the family, Kevin's grandparents volunteered to sit at a card table in the living room because the table was too crowded. I've been horrified that I was the cause of splitting up the family, and Poppop found a way to extend the table and add in extra leaves. We can all fit now!

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Happy 4th Birthday Chloe!

You are growing into a compassionate, cheerful, young lady! We love you Chloe and are looking forward to this year with you!! 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013
