Chloe at 9 months

We had Chloe's 9 month appointment yesterday. This little girl is 17 pounds, 2 ounces and 27 1/2 inches long. She just keeps getting bigger and bigger! We had one shot yesterday - and she DID NOT CRY. Can you believe it? She took it like a champ! No tears, no cries, just a look of shock and then waving to the nurses.

Chloe is a busy little girl ~ she likes to sit with a basket of toys and take each item out and then play with the basket :) She likes music (you've seen the dancing!) and singing ~ we start each day with "This is the day the Lord has made" and sing other things throughout the day.

She has started pulling up on her exosaucer and loves 'walking' with us. She has started eating foods by herself ~ peas, cheese, grapes, pears, and cheerios (of course). In the last few days she has started signing "more" when she finishes what is on her highchair tray.

Although not a cuddler, Chloe has learned to give kisses and has started giving her version of a hug. She sits still when we read books to her, but other than that, she's usually too busy to stop for a cuddle.

Chloe says many different sounds - da & ba being the sounds I hear most frequently. She also still 'whistles', which is a face that she's made since she was born.
She is a delight and brings joy to all those around her. We love you Chloe!

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
