Recently!

How are we already to October 2nd?! The month of September was very full. Here are a few photos from the month:

Chloe has run Cross Country this year. She has improved her time since the beginning & has lots of friends on the team.

Over Labor Day Weekend, we visited with some friends at their hunting camp. Peter enjoyed the wildlife 😉

Chloe enjoyed the Fair we went to over that weekend!

I got to escape the house for a long weekend with several girlfriends. It was a relaxing time away!

Then, the next weekend we were back to the fields- baseball and soccer!

These are great days! Busy, lots of me taxiing from one place to the next, but it’s really not too much when the kids get such enjoyment (and exercise!).

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
