Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Lets start at the beginning of December....

We got and decorated our tree:

Chloe and I had a girls weekend overnight with Michelle:

April got new glasses! :)

We took our Christmas card photo!:

Kevin and the kids made press cookies - a completely stress-free tradition ;)

We hosted a spaghetti dinner night since some cousins were in town!

My youngest niece had a sleepover and I think she had fun :)  Here she is playing with Peter - she was Queen Princess Elsa of Ice and he was her security detail:

Everyone went ice skating and most of us loved it.

We saw Chloe's chorus and orchestra concerts.  It's hard to take a photo in the auditorium....but April and I had fun taking photos while we were waiting.

Our church had a Christmas brunch with a photo booth and props.  The kids wanted a selfie :)

Christmas morning excitement:

Our kids found out on Christmas morning about a vacation we are taking as a family.  Chloe's reaction was great!  She just couldn't believe it.

Chloe said that Mawna and Pap's was her favorite Christmas break time because "everyone was there".....and Mawna's wish came true of all the grandkids smiling for a photo in their Christmas jammies.  The rest of the time we were having so much fun we didn't take too many photos!

Kevin wasn't feeling great on the 27th, so the kids and I went to some stores and found after-Christmas-clearance deals.  We also found a winter photo area at the mall.

On the 28th the kids and I headed to Philadelphia without Kevin (who had to stay home with his flu-germs).  It was nice to see most of Kevin's mom's family over the weekend!

We watched The Snowman and exchanged gifts on Saturday.  On Sunday everyone came over and had a pizza party and visited.

On Monday we drove halfway home and visited Mimi.  The kids opened a gift from her and we had lunch.

And now, it's the last day of 2019!  We had lots of wonderful things happen this year, and are looking forward to 2020 :)

Baby Pool

Want to guess when Baby #2 is going to arrive? Post a comment, or send me an email, with your guess and I'll add you in! As a review, here are the rules to the game (taken from Heather Deterding!): 1. Post your guess for the baby's arrival in the "comment" section. Be sure to specify both date and time of day -- either "am" or "pm". 2. Limit one guess per person, and only one entry per time slot-- no sharing! 3. Winner is determined based on time of birth. For example, if the baby is born on April 20th at 7 AM, a guess of "April 20th, AM" would be the winner. In the event that there is no entry for the correct arrival time, the next closest guess based on actual time of birth would win. 4. We will post entries on the Calendar above. Check prior entries before placing your guess! Dates not displayed on the calendar above are still up for grabs. 5. The winner will receive... bragging rights and a congratulatory post h...

April Hope

Praise God! We are thrilled to announce the birth of April Hope, born this morning at 4:42 a.m. and weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz. and 20.5 inches long. We think she is beautiful! Both April and Alison are doing great. Here are just a few of many pictures taken on her first day. More to come... Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination ...
