Vacation

We took a trip before Chloe's birthday and got to see some dear friends. They have moved to New Jersey and we stayed overnight with them ~ and enjoyed their pool in between raindrops! All the kids enjoyed the unicorn pool float....

Did I get any pictures of our friends? Us? Of course not!

The second part of our trip was a family reunion in the Poconos, and Peter rested up on the drive there.

It was very rainy the first afternoon and evening and night.....but we stayed dry and had good weather for most of the weekend.  Of course, one highlight for the kids was the tractor ride!

The third part of our trip was to see Kevin's side of the family....and Peter rested up on the way there :)

After seeing Grandma's new place, we headed back to Grandpa's house for dinner and birthday celebrations

One happy girl with her gifts from Uncle Mark and Aunt JungMin!

On Monday (part 4?) we went to the beach! It was a wonderful, relaxing day!

On Tuesday we saw Grandma again, had lunch together, and then Chloe got more gifts!

We headed back on Tuesday afternoon.  The next two weeks were busy celebrating, and my next post will be on the scavenger hunt the kids did with their cousins. We are having our "last day of summer" today -- school starts tomorrow!!!

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Happy 4th Birthday Chloe!

You are growing into a compassionate, cheerful, young lady! We love you Chloe and are looking forward to this year with you!! 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013
