It's beginning to look....

....a lot like Christmas!  Enjoy these picture of us getting ready for the 25th :)

We had a bout of pink eye + allergy to the drops + scratch on the lens for April.....so she's looking down or wearing sunglasses for a few pictures.  We are thankful that she's feeling much better now!  Two weekends ago (as April was still not feeling great) we got our tree:

Only Chloe made it to church to make her gingerbread house. The other two made theirs at home:

Of course, our dancing Santa is out and providing lots of fun! :)

Last Thursday Peter had his Christmas program at preschool.  April was home for the last day of her eye issues, so she got to tag along!

On Saturday we took some family pictures in front of the tree.  Everyone is getting bigger, so when you add mom and dad in....you can't really see the tree anymore ;)  Here is one of just the kids!

In the afternoon, we went downtown to see Santa! The girls were telling him they didn't know what they wanted, but Peter had a whole list of things.

Sunday was the start of the week, but the end of our Christmas-weekend! April and Chloe were both in the Nativity skit our church put on.  April is behind Joseph (who is on the stool) and Chloe is a sheep:

April was a horse and did a fantastic 'neigh' right on cue! :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
