We got April roller skates for her birthday and she's been enjoying them. She gets stuck at the end of the driveway (because it's a slight decline and she's still learning!) but she's determined and keeps practicing!
Happy 6th Birthday to our sweet April Hope! She had a wonderful birthday, got to take in snack and do special jobs at school, enjoyed spaghetti for dinner, and ended her night opening presents! :) April 2016 May 2016 June 2016 July 2016 August 2016 September 2016 October 2016 November 2016 December 2016 January 2017 February 2017 March 2017 April 2017
Mawna and I took the kids to the Zoo on Wednesday during their break from school. The first animal that we saw was the tiger, and Peter was totally amazed. The tiger stood up and started walking around I think Peter was surprised it was real!! So fun to watch him experience the zoo for the first time :) Tiger Red Panda Lion Leopard Elephants "Dory" fish in the aquarium We spent an extra-long time at the polar bear exhibit. It was the first time I'd seen this bear do anything other than sleep - it was really active! We watched from above as it swam around and came back out. Then we walked down lower and watched some more. Then, we went into the tunnel inside of the bear's habitat - and it went for another swim!! It was so close to us! Sea Lions playing with the kids by the glass ended our fun day at the Zoo! We had a great time :)
We've got a great neighborhood for bike riding and our kids are having fun on their bikes when they can. April likes to go fast and I have a hard time taking pictures of her :) This was from a little while ago when she had curls leftover from wearing sponge rollers. Chloe likes to ask if she can go down the street to the stop sign and back. She also goes for a little longer when Daddy is out riding and takes her around the corner. Peter likes to sit on his bike, but he doesn't pedal. He just hangs out, looking adorable in his helmet :) I think sometime this summer he'll figure it all out....he does use the scooter a lot too, but we should get him a new one....he's using a pink one :)
After sleeping in a crib far longer than his sisters, Peter switched to a bed the weekend of daylight savings. He's done great with the transition and still tells me daily that he "loves new bed", so I think he was ready!
