Celebrating!

April got to celebrate twice over the weekend.  Once was with family - those pictures are above.  She had a good time and loved everything she got!

Then, because she was turning 5, she got to have a friends party.  She decided she wanted them to come, play barbies, color pictures of rainbows and butterflies and have cake.  I added in a scavenger hunt, but other than that, we had exactly what she wanted! She picked mini cupcakes, goldfish, and pretzels as her snacks. :)

Her friends! Ranging in age from 3 to 17, this if proof that April brings joy with her wherever she goes! Such a little light and loves to have fun :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
