Happy New Year!

We got to have multiple Christmas celebrations this year - starting with our family of five at home on the 23rd.  We had a fun morning opening gifts, but Peter was a little under the weather....he had a good time napping on and off throughout the day :)

This is what our couch looked like:

Because Peter wasn't feeling very good, my parents, sister, and brother-in-law decided to come to us (with lunch!) on Christmas Eve instead of us coming to them.  How wonderful.  Their gifts also provided some Christmas cheer for Peter:

We all felt better on Christmas morning and made the drive to Kevin's grandparents.  It's not every year that you can take a stroll with the youngest on Christmas Day! It was really quiet and he actually fell asleep while we were out!

The gift exchange is always chaotic, but it was still fun!

This scarf was part of an outfit from Mimi -- she put it on and hasn't taken it off.

Pretty excited about this barbie ;)

On the 26th, we headed to Kevin's parents house. On our way we stopped at a museum.  It had a train display which everyone loved!  There were rooms with art displayed and a doll display. I think Chloe and April really liked it. On a nicer day, there were grounds that could be explored.

On Sunday, we had a few extra minutes before church and snapped this picture.  Only the girls and I made it to church on Christmas Eve, so this was one of all three kids dressed up :)

In the afternoon we exchanged gifts with Grandpa, Grandma, Mark and JungMin.

Peter got to open his gifts after his nap.  He loved them all!

I'm currently listening to the theme song to Thomas while he rides around as I type.  Christmas with the Hoffmans in the next post!

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
