Camping

Headed back to a favorite campground this summer with my parents and sisters.  We had wonderful weather and a fun time together! Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Birthday gift from Hoffmans! (legos!!!)

Brooke decided to just walk around looking ridiculously cute in her swim suit and glasses :)

more gifts! from the Davis' - a travel bag for her American Girl doll!

Sweet April getting tickled (almost to death) by Pap.

"Hey girl. Love my swim shirt?"

"Hey boys! Got some goggles here!"

Chloe figured out she could blow water through the pool noodle!

Almost unbelievably, Smokey the Bear was at the campground.  Take a moment to remember the other time we met him:

Poor Aunt Chelle volunteered to take Chloe up, not knowing she'd throw the biggest freak-out.

Then Kevin took her, screaming the whole way...

Uncle Bill wasn't scared!

Baby April wasn't scared either.

Fast-forward to this year.....and everyone was a fan!!

Camping means waking up early ...

So that means plenty of time for early morning canoe rides.

And throwing back some "second breakfast" by 9:30.

On Saturday my mom, my sisters, and I tried paddle-boarding.  It was fun!

(had to put this one in here, because we were all so concerned about Laura getting on her board - we are all just staring at her though ;)  Once she conquered it, we decided we'd be able to as well!)

After 30 minutes, the guys took their turn.

And, on Sunday, when your parents are trying to pack up the camping gear and you are a busy 15 month old, chances are they will let you fill the stroller with gravel.

Cutie.

Family picture! (To all in the photo: your hard copy will be coming in the mail as soon as I find some envelopes! :) )

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
