Pumpkin Patch

I took my youngest two "pumpkins" to the Pumpkin Patch with a group from church.  Chloe had school, but she'll be getting a pumpkin there at the end of the month.....which ended the disappointment of not coming with us ;)

April was quite thoughtful about which pumpkin to pick for herself and for Peter.

After the wagon ride, picking pumpkins, and a corn maze, the kiddos get to sit on benches while listening to a talk on growing pumpkins and roasting the seeds.....April was actually paying attention during this because she talked about it on the way home!

The Giant Slide was remembered from last year .... April went down at least six times :)

She also had no fear feeding these goats at the farm area!  She seemed to like the hand sanitizer just as much ;)

Can't hardly believe it's pumpkin-patch time already! These months are flying by!

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
