Peter William has arrived!

I was due on the 19th....and on Wednesday morning at my appointment, I scheduled to be induced starting Thursday morning.  When I got back from that appointment, my phone was ringing.  It was Laura, who said she might have to go back to the hospital for some monitoring....which led to an induction starting Thursday morning....So we had our babies on the same day!

It was the first time I had a baby during daylight hours! :)

Here I am, with pitocin started, waiting for my epidural.  After that, the doctor broke my water....

Two hours (and one short nap) later, I was at 9 cms, and they started getting ready to push.  It was very calm, no rushing around....One and half pushes later, Peter William was born!  He was 8 pounds, 7 ounces, 21 inches long.

Later that night, the Big Sisters came to visit!  Kisses for Peter:

We were very thankful that Mawna and Pap were here and able to watch the girls for us -- Mawna took the day off, Pap got Chloe to dance class....and to the hospital!

Friday was spent getting to know our baby better, and Daddy brought the girls to see him.  My friend Shannon is a nurse at the hospital and she came by to visit.  The girls to go pick out some "sister stuff" with her - including hats for their babies and hospital bracelets.

The girls also brought this with them on Thursday night -- Chloe picked the blue balloon, April picked the purple one.  My parents brought me a rose for each of my kids (3!!)

Saturday morning, we were ready to go home!

Friday afternoon we met our new niece, Brooke, over the computer.  These two will have a fun story to tell when they are bigger!

Saturday night, Kevin's family arrived to meet our new baby boy!

We're adjusting to a family of five....I'm very thankful for all that Kevin has been doing around our house and keeping us all fed :)  He's a great husband!  Peter has been a great baby and the girls are loving getting chances to hold him anytime they ask :)  We are looking forward to experiencing having a son and have been praying that he comes to know the Lord!

Want to guess when Baby #2 is going to arrive? Post a comment, or send me an email, with your guess and I'll add you in! As a review, here are the rules to the game (taken from Heather Deterding!): 1. Post your guess for the baby's arrival in the "comment" section. Be sure to specify both date and time of day -- either "am" or "pm". 2. Limit one guess per person, and only one entry per time slot-- no sharing! 3. Winner is determined based on time of birth. For example, if the baby is born on April 20th at 7 AM, a guess of "April 20th, AM" would be the winner. In the event that there is no entry for the correct arrival time, the next closest guess based on actual time of birth would win. 4. We will post entries on the Calendar above. Check prior entries before placing your guess! Dates not displayed on the calendar above are still up for grabs. 5. The winner will receive... bragging rights and a congratulatory post h...

Chloe at 11 months

I can hardly believe that Chloe will have her 1st birthday next month. She is getting increasingly mobile these days - her 'crawl' is getting faster and faster. She is also pulling up on anything she trusts and occasionally cruises from one place to another. If you watched the video, you have also seen that she can use the walker...but needs Dad's help on the turns :) Chloe still loves music of any kind ~ she sways back and forth when the music starts. Singing will bring her out of any temper tantrum or pout. She likes to be outside and still tries to eat rocks...something we're still slowly learning... Over Memorial Day, Chloe had quite an interest in the American flag and at the 4th of July we found that her love hadn't faded and she carried around the flag all day. She likes her new toys (nesting boxes and a "push the button, door pops open") but is still interested in some of her old ones. She likes anything with a lid and has a new fascination ...
