Trick or Treat in the Park

If it is done one time in my family, it's a tradition that must be repeated for years on end. I happen to love this. It means that we went to visit Uncle Bill, Aunt Laura, and Connor again this year for Trick or Treat in the Park.

Last year, we played in the leaves before dinner on Friday. So, we did that again this year:

This is the best picture I got of April....leaves were sort of an issue for her...

this time it was on her face, not in her mouth :)

but she recovered nicely :)

Changed into jammies from Aunt Chelle and watched a show before bed on Friday:

Saturday we played all morning - and after each child started randomly jumping on an adult of their choice in the living room, Aunt Laura redirected them and we had fun playing with these "magic beans" that Uncle Paul and Aunt Sandy sent:

After lunch at a pizza buffet (which was excellent!) we headed to the park.

We had to take a slide picture, of course.  I'll have to do a blog post with the pictures I have of the 3 Amigos on this slide.

It was so windy that Uncle Bill was able to fly his kite.  Here he is helping Chloe:

and April got to try too!  Look at her hair! Imagine in the wind!

Naps were followed by getting ready for trick or treat.

April is a very excited Belle:

(it looks like she's singing a hymn or something....really, I think she was telling someone about her gloves)

Connor was a very excited Roley.  (If you don't know who that is, check out the next picture)

Chloe is a very excited Cinderella:

Then, it's outside to take pictures.  We sat on the front step last year, but Roley couldn't sit down in his costume - so the yard was perfect.  Except, my girls kept waving....so I told them to put their hand on their hip....

You'll see in the next few photos what outcome my suggestion resulted.  April took the posing very seriously, and Chloe took her gloves very seriously.

Oh! a good one :)

On the way in, April kept suggested to Chloe that they hold hands if Chloe was scared....Chloe kept saying "I'm not scared!"....I think maybe April was :)

The loot!!

Then, a bedtime story from Aunt Laura and time for some sleep!!

We drove back Sunday afternoon.  We had a wonderful time on our visit!! :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
