Aunt JungMin and Uncle Mark (at least, I think Uncle Mark helped pick these...) gave these shirts to the girls last year...and they fit this year!  Both love them, and the pocket in the front.  Chloe thinks it's funny that her hands can touch each other.  I guess she's used to jacket pockets that are separate.

Catch Up

We've had an exciting few weeks here...and I have to catch up on some events! Chloe started going to preschool two mornings a week.  She loves it so far...and it's been nice to have some Mommy-April time too!   After our first week of school, we had friends come for the weekend! We've known the Jones' since college and it was fun to see them :)  On Saturday we went to a local park...and took the bikes... Then, Saturday evening the Jones' got to meet Miss Hazel - and she participated in dress-up with the big girls! We toasted marshmallows after dinner... and attempted a kids picture right before they left on Sunday morning!! This one looks pretty good because I cropped out the blurry feet :) After church, we went to my parents for a cookout...because, Connor was in town!! Good thing it warmed up a little bit...ice cream is best eaten outside ;)

Finally....Quilt #2

April's quilt is done!  I was okay with her not having it through the spring and summer, since she was not really staying under her blanket anyway.....But I did want her to have it for the fall and winter!  It's a little tricky to make a bed that has a side-rail, but you can get the general idea.  She loves that she has one - like Chloe's she says - and she snuggles under with such glee every night!

Bikes!

We were given a bike from a family at church....and Chloe LOVES it. She says she can't wait until she's 5 and can ride it without the training wheels (because, lets face it, not too much time left this year to learn..it's getting chilly!). This girl can MOVE. Her little legs go so fast.  Happy girls on bikes!

10 on 10: September

Seriously. Don't you know by know that I always just make it on the 10th? ;) Here you go! Woke up at 7:30 ...ready to go to 1/2 day at preschool (with mom there too) Early morning jam session to our sister girl, Mandesa! 7:30 wake up = enough time for special breakfast treat. Mom included :) After her day...she LOVED it. My family keeps eating food. So I have to keep buying it. Hot temps means we dug out bathing suits and re-filled the pool! It was still hot after dinner.  Love this one! :) Project for a dear friend, who can't sew, and does so many things for me...really, it's for her girls, but I know she'll love it :) Last minute prep for tomorrow's Mom's group! New Sunday School class...homework included :)

First Lesson

I told Chloe it was finally the day of her first ballet class....and she said "I'm nervous."  Once I explained that I wasn't just going to throw her out of the van and wave as I was driving off, she calmed down.  I resisted having her walk in with April and I - she was a few steps ahead, walking confidently, and I let her :)  I almost tripped over her once we got inside though, because she had stopped dead in her tracks.  We found her room and in she went! Then, they closed the door! So, this is the only picture of the 'class time' that I have.... This little Miss wore her shade the entire time we were there, and then we headed to a near-by playground to swing while we waited.  Totally cool ballerina, looking for her water bottle.  I asked her what she did, and she said "ballet stuff". :)   I was proud of how brave she was, trying something new with no tears! She woke up the next day expecting to put on her tights and go again :)...

Happy Birthday :)

Love you Mawna :)
There are some faithful blog readers who will appreciate these photos....thanks for giving us these beautiful outfits - April wants to wear hers all the time...I think we might wear them to church soon!! :)  Love you!
