April's Birthday Celebrations

It all started the Saturday before April's birthday....with a visit from Aunt Chelle!  She was into blowing out the candle (her eyes are closed!) and she managed to get it on the 3rd try!

But she didn't have to try hard to eat the cupcake ;)

LOVED her gifts from Aunt Chelle & the one that was delivered from Uncle Bill, Aunt Laura, and Connor (you'll see it in a few more pictures)....

This is April's reaction to the crepe-paper-streamers and balloons that were decorating the dining room on her birthday morning:

she enjoyed spaghetti for dinner, and a birthday crown that she got from the Librarian after the class in the afternoon....

The spaghetti was enjoyed so much that she got a quick bath & changed into her new dress from the Hoffmans to open her presents from Mommy and Daddy.

New sandals:

New book:

And a new 'Little People' playground:

The next day Kevin's parents, brother, and sister-in-law joined us for the party-day on Saturday.  Uncle Mark and Aunt JungMin threw some balloons around for a good photo opt:

We put the birthday girl up on the couch and this is how she sat for the picture :)  Flexible girl!

The weather was so nice that we had an outdoor lunch - here is the birthday girl eating :)

More cupcakes!

Then it was time for presents -- Thumper has been a big hit :)

Golf clubs!

Bubble mower!

We finished off Saturday with a trip to the park.  This 2 year old is FEARLESS on the slides....

on the swings....

and even on the monkey bars! She hung there all by herself for several seconds :)

We had a wonderful time celebrating this little girl.  Full of laughs, this talkative child is also kind and a compassionate friend.  Looking forward to seeing how big she is at her dr's appointment this week - hard to believe we were ever worried that she was "too small" :)  Love you April!!

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
