Our weekend

We traveled to see the Jones family over the weekend. We've known them since college, and they actually gave us credit for meeting each other! We're happy to have been a part of making this lovely family exist ;)  Our friends, the Martins, joined us on Saturday afternoon and it was so much fun spending the weekend together.

They live right across the street from a playground, and Saturday morning we took the girls there to play.  Eliana has the same bike helmet as Chloe!!

We had a great time playing (and not taking pictures) and then headed back home for lunch.  Afternoon naps were enjoyed and then we headed outside for some water play.

Judah left the pool, but April loved sitting and splashing!

Look at Kevin's face...I don't think he thought Chloe would actually spill water on him.....Neither did Dallas....only Natalie was taking cover at this point.....

But she did!! :)  At least Dallas had Judah's hat as a shield ;)
This picture makes me laugh because it's three adults terrified of about a 1/4 cup of water :)

Later in the afternoon, Kevin sprayed Chloe....

and then let her have the hose.....um, didn't he remember that other time?  She sprayed him, of course :)

Saturday night, after the kids were sleeping, some babysitters came over & the 6 of us went out for dinner & ice cream.  There was a 45 minute wait for the restaurant, but, with no kids, we just enjoyed the wait and walked around the side streets of the cute little town.  We also ate at 9:30 at night, which would have also never happened with kids along :)  Thank you to the Jones' for arranging the sitter!

Our whole group was ready with enough time to take a picture before church.  Amazing.

The kids! Can't wait for many more pictures like this as the years go by.  Thanks for the great visit Jeff and Liz! :)

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
