7th Annual

Photobucket

We went on our 7th Annual Camping Trip with the Deterdings! How fun to have 5 little girls at your campsite ;)

Here are some pictures, in no particular order, from our weekend:

This is what happens when you fall down too much...by the last day, your mother has no "outfits" left, and you must wear this....

Mr. Steve and Daddy got to play some catch...and Chloe & Leah joined them.  These next three photos show you Chloe's skills:

1. Glove is out, ready to catch the baseball...

2.  Couldn't catch it....

3. But she can throw! Do you see that follow-through!?

Saturday morning it was wet from all the rain we had overnight, but that didn't stop the Big Girls from planning a hike with their Daddy's. Backpacks, snacks, a map, and binoculars were all taken along...and they did see some deer!

We were able to warm up enough to go swimming on Saturday afternoon.  Leah and Chloe were loving jumping in:

Heather and I used the Little Girls' nap time to have a chance to talk to each other ~ something that wasn't happening any other time ;)  In the midst of it all, sometimes it seems a little crazy to go camping with 5 children 5 and under, but memories are made & we're already looking forward to next year!  (Although, there was talk of bringing a babysitter ;) )

Happy 4th Birthday Chloe!

You are growing into a compassionate, cheerful, young lady! We love you Chloe and are looking forward to this year with you!! 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...
