On the 19th of May, we became the proud owners of a mini-van.  Well, semi-proud....we're getting used to the fact that we now own a van, which makes us kind-of....old.... Oh well.  The storage in this thing more than makes up for getting older :)

Just a little bit of reality here....I don't want people thinking my children are always clean, smiling, on their best behavior, using manners, and going to sleep right on time.  :) this is horrible mom. i want the lens cap. now. you are so mean. i'm looking away now.  what?

Who cares what sport it is when you've got shoes like that....

Not too long ago, Connor had some rainy-day fun ( click here to check him out ) and we did too....Although it was a little different.... These girls had so much fun bouncing with their Dad on this air mattress! It was like our own bounce-house! I think it's funny to see April's progression - at first, just sitting...and then she couldn't help but bounce on her knees! :)  Chloe is a blur in every single photo I have....which means she was having a lot of fun too!

Now that's she's a year old....I don't feel too bad about chopping off April's hair.  I don't have much to work with, of course :) , but these two pictures kind-of show how long it was in the back...I had a majorly crop the pictures, so they are not the best quality....After looking for a while, I realized I don't take many pictures of the back of my girls' heads :) (this one shows the most I think - Look at that big chunk of hair behind her ear!) During Wheel of Fortune the other night, I cut the back straight... and took a little off the top :) (also, in this picture, there is no denying that she's getting chubby!)

Two years of rocking babies to sleep :) Chloe - 2010 Chloe - 2012

Happy Mother's Day to our wonderful Moms! :) "When a child is born, so is a grandmother" and these two are wonderful Grandmas to Chloe and April! We love you!

Such fun!This is a combination of flour (4 cups) and baby oil (1/2 cup) and it is great to play with! It looks kind of like sand (that's what Chloe kept calling it), but it's silky like flour.  You can shape it like wet sand, but it's not wet! :)  Chloe and April loved it - almost 2 full hours of play! They had different techniques at first:  Chloe was neat, stirring and pouring: April was flinging and whipping....and tried to eat it :) By the end, everyone was messy, but it was easy to clean up!  I think the best part is that the cloud dough smells nice! Like baby oil :)

Chloe usually watches a tv show while April naps in the morning...She's always glued to the screen, and not surprisingly, very quiet. I usually work on laundry, or a computer project, or something, while she's watching.... Well....I came around the corner to find: Add this to list of things I said my children would never do. I had a hard time not laughing while telling her never ever ever to do this again. Goodness. Kids keep you on your toes!

What a wonderful girl!We just love April Hope and all the joy she brings our family!! She is developing into a fun sister - the bigger she gets, the more she and Chloe interact and it's great to watch!  She's voicing her opinion more and more when things are taken away or shared :) When she gets to do something that she's seen Chloe do, April gets really excited.  Being up on the couch, looking out the window, and hopping on the bed are things that make her think she's big stuff ;) One of April's favorite things to do is look through books.  She will, on her own, crawl into her room and pull a bunch of books off the shelf and take her time looking through them.  (I also love when she does this!)  She likes to be read to, of course, and her favorites seem to be "Tails" and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" April has started rocking babies this month :)  It's fun to see!  She is content to look through most boxes of toys and has a few favori...
