Chloe at 2 1/2

Let's take a second to see Chloe at 6 months:

And Chloe at 1 1/2

And now.....She's already 2 1/2.....Can't believe it :)

How do I even begin to explain this little girl? Ball of energy, curious, kind-hearted, playful, loving....these all come to mind when thinking about Chloe. She has a sweet heart - and recently started asking "I help anything?" -- how nice!!!

She is a great big sister! She loves April and I think she's learning that sharing is an okay thing. We try to teach her that she should have a heart that likes to share - but that's hard for a two year old sometimes! She likes to "pet" April (meaning, pat her on the head) and she also likes to hold her and then shout "camera!", so that I will take their picture together.

Her favorite time of day is probably when Daddy gets home. She likes to climb up on the couch and wait for him. The second the car pulls into the driveway, she starts talking to Kevin, as though he can hear her :) Never saying "Hello", she starts talking to him about what's been going on as soon as he steps inside. This is a crazy time of day because dinner is in the works, but she gets SO EXCITED and is just dying to explain all that's been happening. She can't get words out fast enough - and ends up running around to do the joy she has. :)

Chloe is starting to declare "I do it myself" and "Chloe do it" when she doesn't want any help. She can take off her coat and shoes when we get inside, she can climb in her bed (but has never climbed out!), and likes to pick out her clothes in the morning. When she gets to decide what to eat she likes oatmeal for breakfast and "pinner jelly" for lunch :)

Chloe likes to sing and favorites include Jesus Loves Me and Angels We Have Heard On High. She can answer the first 16 questions in the Children's Catechism. She enjoys going to the church and library. I hear more and more about what she does while in the church nursery - which is fun because before it used to be a mystery! She likes to get Berenstain Bear books from the library.

Chloe dislikes bath time and thinks that big trucks and Willie the Giant (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) are "loud"...which means that they are scary. She loves Chuggington and Mickey Mouse on tv and her favorite toys are Baby Schnookums, her magnadoodle, a matching game, playdough, and books.
Personally, I don't know how she got to be 2 1/2 already, seeing as it was just yesterday that she was born! We love her more and more every day and can't wait to see the young lady that she'll grow up to be. Happy 30 months Chloe :)

Such a great post ... I enjoyed reading about Miss Chloe at 2 1/2. Also, we are proud of Chloe for never getting out of her big girl bed ... maybe she can give her friend Eliana some pointers?? :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
