Field Trip

On Wednesday we got to visit the local science center with my MOMS group from church. We had a lot of fun, and could have spent more time there! As Chloe and April get older, we'll be able to stay longer than 4 hours.... :) Here are some pictures from our morning/early afternoon:

Fish!

Water!! (she LOVED this and could have stayed all day I think!)

Turtle!!! (I think this was the highlight of Chloe's trip....Water is a close #1. When I asked her what she thought she'd have fun doing at the science center, she said "dirt". ha! So, the fact that this turtle was crawling around in dirt was a big deal :) )

Thank goodness they had these aprons :)

April was there :) She slept through most of the morning in the carrier and when she woke up she rode around in the stroller, staring at everything! I think she had fun :)

Chloe sometimes pretends to skateboard in our house (by running sideways) so I was excited to show her this exhibit on skateboards :)

Spinning!

Looking tired? Time to go home for naps!

We had a blast and hope to go back again soon :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
