April Hope at 5 months

On Sunday April turned 5 months old! She is growing and growing. She learned how to roll from her back to her belly two weeks ago and it still surprises me to find her in a different position than when I left her! Also on Sunday, April tried cereal for the first time. Her face shows how she felt about it: The second time (on Monday) went a lot better! She actually consumed some that time :) She is 'growling' a lot these days - and doing her normal 'talking' too. Aunt Laura got her to laugh, but normally we get a lot of squeals from her - and smiles aren't hard to come by either! She eats 6 times a day, waking up at 8 in the morning and going to sleep for the night (except one feeding) at 8:30. She's a happy baby most of the time! We love April Hope! Next month she'll go to the doctors and we'll see how much bigger she is!

Time with the Deterdings

We love the Deterdings ! They have a blog....but are probably going to link to this post about our trip - having 3 little girls under 4 doesn't leave much time for the computer.... We went camping with our friends last week and 'upgraded' from a tent to cabins ~ little babies can't sleep in tents in September....and neither can their parents :) It was a little overcast and rainy on the first afternoon, but that didn't stop the girls from visiting: The next day we headed across the lake to the playground and had a fun time watching the big girls run all over the place and the 2 little girls had fun sitting next to each other ;) (annual Kevin and Grace picture) sweet friends! That night we got to have the s'mores we'd be promising because it wasn't raining and the campfire survived much better than we thought it would! April was happily surprised to hear that it was our 6th annual trip with the Deterdings.... Then, smart parents that we are, we took our 5 ...

She had a great time

I'm working on a post of our camping trip and weekend with the Deterding family. Chloe had the time of her life - look at her! on a scooter! all by herself! - and there will be more pictures to prove it coming soon :)

New Kitchen

A few weeks ago we received a play-kitchen from a family at church. Chloe has been loving it! She likes to fix "cereal" for her baby (since that's what Connor eats).

"Chloe, help April get some toys"

Nonner-Boy

Connor William came for a visit....and someone was a little excited to see him: We got to play with Connor and take pictures of him looking exactly like his mom and Aunt Alison when they were little: And Laura and I went to our high school reunion which ended up being a lot of fun :) Here we are before we left: It was great to see the Hoffman family! :)

Sticker Girl Strikes Again

The Sticker Girl: (don't you love her shoes :) )

Happy April Hope

As requested by a commenter... ;) Here are photos (the video wasn't working!) of April, showing how delighted with life she normally is. It's as though if she gets any happier, she might just burst :) Love her!

Interesting....

I think that Chloe's way of going about eating her sandwiches is pretty interesting....can you tell from this picture? Yep! She eats the crust first! April doesn't eat sandwiches yet....but she's cute :) And loves tummy time! She's been managing to get herself turned around by wiggling....not too much longer before she's going to start trying to crawl!

Stickers

Chloe loves handing out stickers these days! Love April's face in this first one - looks like she's thinking "that better be a good one" :) Here are Chloe's: "cool" and two "bravo" stickers Mommy's: "good" "neat" and "grrreat" :) April's: "wow!" "great job" and "keep it up"
