Bible Conference Vacation

We were on vacation last week with Kevin's side of the family at a Bible Conference. It was a great time ~ and we were busy doing lots of things and not taking pictures....but I ended up with a few that help show what we did all week! I, of course, did not take any pictures while we were listening to the speakers, but they were all very interesting and had great messages.

Swimming was one of our main activities....April lounged pool-side watching the action:

(yep! that's Chloe's head under the water!!)

One of the things that Chloe talked a lot about on the way to the Conference was "Noah" and "water"....and then! she got to go in the water with Noah! :)

Kevin spent 3 afternoons with Chloe at the pool ~ and got to show off on the diving board a little bit too:

We also spent some time in our room (which was very nice) but April thought the bedspread was a little frightening....

Chloe enjoyed using the baby-monitor as a telephone - she was always calling Aunt Laura :)

On Thursday we went for a family walk and stopped to see the motor-boat and hear the shrieks of the people riding on the tube! Chloe was very serious about watching:
and April could have cared less:

We were all pretty worn out by Friday!! This was taken past her normal wake-up time, with all the lights on in our room....

Thank you Mimi and Poppop - we had a wonderful time!! :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
