Winter Days

What have we been up to in this winter weather? Well, Chloe is becoming quite the artist - she could easily spend her entire day drawing on any piece of paper given to her. I finally have a use for all my old work notepads!

and....this 'little' project has been taking up my time!

It's a 1,500 piece puzzle...probably the largest puzzle I've ever put together. Kevin helped by fitting in 3 pieces, putting up with the card table in our living room, and finding a piece (the last one actually) that had fallen on the floor. He also insisted on taking my picture with it - which helps show how large the puzzle is!

I've also been going through all my "Chloe Pictures" to save to our external hard drive. What kind of crazy parent takes a picture of her child every day for a year? I hope to do it again for Baby #2! :)

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
