We're Back!

Chloe and I got to spend a week with Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and cousin Connor! I was trying to be a help for the new parents, Chloe was learning about being the "helper" and being around a new baby, and Connor was learning all about being adorable :)

Kevin and Chloe came down the day after Connor was born, spent the weekend with us, and then Kevin had to come back home to go to work. He stayed busy through the week and then came back for the next weekend. What did we do while at Bill and Laura's?

We looked at this cute face:

Uncle Bill gave Chloe some play-dough (and she loves it!):

We watched Uncle Bill shovel snow from the dining room window. Bill and Laura's house has low windows, which I've decided everyone's house should have because it's perfect for kiddo's to check out what's happening outside!

and checked out Connor's car seat 394875 times :) It's the perfect place for a babydoll!

The new parents are doing great & have been enjoying several snow days in a row! Nothing like being warm and cozy with a new baby while it's cold and snowy outside! Check Laura's blog for more pictures of Connor William :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...
