5th Annual

I can hardly believe that it was the 5th Annual Camping trip with the Deterdings! Makes me feel old :)
Here we are in 2006:

Here we are in 2010:

(Kevin has the same shirt on in both pictures!!!)

Not only have the families expanded, the campsite set-up has too!

2010:

We met up with our fellow campers on Friday evening at Codorus State Park and had smudgie pies for dinner ... and Heather brought birthday cupcakes to celebrate Kevin and my birthdays. We even had candles!

Thank goodness for a neighboring camper who knew about a pool - the one at the campground was closed for repairs! We headed to a nearby town's local pool on Saturday afternoon and stayed for a while. Chloe enjoyed the water...but when she started drinking it, we headed back to the chairs for juice:

Steve and Kevin wowed the crowd with their big splash tricks:

Heather said something on Saturday about how it was a bit busy with all the kiddos. We will enjoy each trip, but as soon as these girls can ride bikes, we'll probably only see them when it's time to eat! We did have Grace's help with the dishes:

On Sunday, after lunch, we made s'mores. It was just too hot the night before to make a campfire. Leah enjoyed hers:

I used a strawberry marshmallow for mine:

...and Chloe enjoyed her "s'more" (only a graham cracker for her this year!)

Deterdings ~ we had a lot of fun, even though it was hot. Can't wait to plan next year's trip!

This looks like it was such a fun trip! It's amazing how much can happen in four years (like the addition of three beautiful little people!).

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
