Fun Weekend

It feels like Summertime is officially here - with the nice weather we've been having, and our weekend activities - even if it doesn't start until next week.

Friday included one of Chloe's favorite activities:

Watching Dad cut the grass!

Saturday we went to a local State park and had a cookout with some friends of Kevin's from work. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, watermelon - all "cookout classics".
We also visited a scrapbooking store on our way back - tons of fun for me! Kevin entertained Chloe going up and down each aisle. She might be a future scrapbooker!

Since we had so much fun on Saturday, we went to another picnic on Sunday! This time we enjoyed pulled pork bbq with some church friends.

With so much fun happening on the weekend, Chloe waited until Monday to come down with a fever. After her temperature rose to 102.4 on Monday afternoon the doctor told me to come in so we could get her checked out. He couldn't find anything wrong, so we're still waiting to see if it will resolve itself or turn into roseola. Here is a picture of the sick-o....she's smiling at her Veggie Tales music on the computer.

Wedding!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Martin! :) We attended Natalie and Dallas' wedding on Saturday and had a lovely time. We know both the bride and groom from college....and just happen to be great friends with the bride's parents as well (Hi Bill and Doreen!). Here is the new couple - Natalie looked beautiful, and Dallas looked pretty good too ;) Here I am with the bride - check out her BLUE shoes! No wedding is complete without a little dancing and singing....particularly to Livin on a Prayer....Steve, Jeff, and Kevin sang at the top of their lungs and performed an air guitar solo: even the bride joined in: We had a great time! I'm thinking of the honeymooners.....kind of wishing I was on a tropical island somewhere too! :)

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
