 First Day of First Grade! She's loving it so far :) First Day of Afternoon Kindergarten! She's loving it :)

School starts on Thursday!  We will be trading in swim-suits and playing all day for school clothes and homework! Chloe is very excited and April says she's going to be a "little bit quiet" but I don't believe her ;)  Peter always says "Me Mama's class" when we talk about school, which I find quite adorable. I'll miss the slow un-scheduled summer....but I'm looking forward to seeing these kids grow and learn!

First weekend in August we headed to my Uncle's house in the Poconos for a family weekend.  Tried to get some pictures of "lots of people" because I tend to go home with only pictures of my kids :) Brooke trying out the binoculars: This spot was empty this year.  Usually, my grandma would be up here in her hat, watching the kids on the tractor ride, waving as they went by. Made me sad that she wasn't here this year - she would have loved hearing their cheers :) This boy was all smiles when the kick-ball game started.... until he couldn't steal the ball away! We left there and stayed with Kevin's parents. Celebrating Chloe's birthday on Sunday night and then a trip to the beach on Monday! Ice cream on the beach is very refreshing, but very messy :) This little guy took a little nap :)

11th Annual could also be called "2nd try at Camping in July and it was awful weather again" :)  It was hot and muggy, but then 6 hours of rain on Saturday made us almost go crazy! Thank goodness we were close to my sister's -- we went by to her house to "dry out" for two hours before going back to our very wet campsites! Despite the weather issues, we had a great time as always.  These girls (and Peter) look forward to camping together and have the best time.  It keeps getting easier and Heather and I both said it would be the best next year -- no one will be 2! :) April, Peter, Evie, Leah, Chloe, Jane, Grace, Avery "reading" the paper this is the best I got of the "littles" :) Peter loved the Deterding's scooter.  Loved.
