Matt and Abbie are Married!

We attended the wedding of Kevin's cousin Matt last weekend - Kevin was a groomsman and we enjoyed the sites of D.C. as well! Enjoy these photos :) We dropped the girls off at Monnor and Pap's house (where they had a total blast) and headed to D.C.  We got there with a little time to drive around. We were about 2 blocks away from the Capital!  In our sightseeing on Friday afternoon, we spotted the rehearsal dinner restaurant saw a bunch of these :) After meandering around town, we headed to the rehearsal. The Future Mr & Mrs at the rehearsal Mark requested that I take his picture,  so JungMin could remember what he looked like in this suit :) Kevin, on the other hand, was paying no attention to me ;) Our rehearsal dinner table - we got to sit with good friends of the couple and the pastor & his wife.   Saturday was the wedding day! The ceremony started at 2, and family got the prime seating :) They are bo...

Lunchtime Chat with Daddy

Self-portrait + Daddy - by Chloe Grace

Big Girl Beds

Sunday night we put a second big-girl-bed in the girls' room.  Chloe has been sleeping in hers for about two weeks and has no problems transitioning from her toddler bed. Kevin painted these frames and I think they look great! They were originally just plain wood, but have been drastically improved with (a few) coats of paint! She loves it! :) This is the bed we put in on Sunday evening - and April was excited!! We've put the headboard at the foot of her bed, as a way to create another "wall" and you can see the bed-rail for the side.  I think it seems like a bigger transition because she moved straight from a crib to this twin bed - but it's working out great! Daddy tucking her in! How long will she stay this way? Might be turned around by morning! :) *I'm working on quilts for these beds....that's a post for another day :)

Bed Head

April wakes up with interesting hair styles.... She's needs a t-shirt that says "it was a wild night" :)  I think it makes me smile so much, because Chloe always has "normal" looking hair when she wakes up.  It has always just stayed in place while she sleeps. Here's proof...taken the same morning :)

Valentines!

(flowers from Kevin!) Happy Valentine's Day!! From Chloe, April, Minnie, and Schnookums :)

10 on 10

Photos from our 10th of February! Sundays are a day of rest for us.  We're usually pretty laid back and try to do some fun things together as a family. 1. Magnadoodle before lunch....with friends. 2. After lunch, opened some special Valentines! 3. Pre-nap 'show' with Daddy. 4. Nap time on Sunday is when I grocery shop - very restful when I'm not with children. 5. Stopped for a treat for me (and Kevin) on the way home....you can do that without kids :) 6. Dinner recipe on iPad = very convenient. 7. Ready to eat! 8. "Dancer girls" playing together after dinner. 9.  Gaining dance inspiration from the Nutcracker (or, as Chloe says, the Crucknacker) 10. Valentine's Day art* *I told Kevin tonight that a) taking pajamas to the swimming pool to change into before going home and b) painting in the bathtub are my two greatest ideas as a Mother.  :)

She's Got This

Aunt Chelle was kind enough to let me borrow some dresses for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. Included in the accessories, was this pair of shoes.....Tan suede with glitter on the heels.  I'm still considering whether I could wear them without harming myself - it's a platform with about 4 inch heels.  April proved that she could handle it:  "Bend and snap" perhaps?* Notice that her foot isn't even curved, which is how she's managing.  Her toes are shoved into the front and then her heel is about halfway up the incline :) All while taking care of a baby! Fashionable mom on the go! :) *this is a reference from Legally Blonde, for those of you who were confused!

Coloring is Fun

Chloe thinks so! :)  She is getting into the stage of wanting to draw certain items, trying to copy how I make them....or coming up with something all by herself.  Most of the time we can tell what it is! April usually works pretty hard on one page, until it is mostly covered. She's always very willing to have a helper, and is concerned about your crayon choice :) April often draws this shape: ...and sometimes uses her left hand!

Aunt JungMin!

Happy Birthday :)   We wish you a very happy day!!

Funny Faces Friday

It's been a slow, cold week....that somehow had little time for blogging.  Here's some funny faces for the weekend! :)  (be warned, it was spaghetti night)
