Kevin and Alison

On the 25th, April turned 10 months old! Only 2 more months until her first birthday!! Last week, she learned to crawl and hasn't stayed in the same place since :) Sometimes she gets a little lazy (usually when she's on the wood floor upstairs) and chooses to just slide her knees around instead of picking them up to crawl, but it doesn't slow her down too much! She pulls up on things and likes to "walk" with the help of Mom or Dad! She has switched over to having formula (except in the morning when she still nurses with me) and has had no problem changing over to bottles - there is no denying that she loves them! We go next week to the doctors for her weight check and I'm sure there will be improvement!! She favors fruits to vegetables and has started eating more solids this month. She likes cheese, grapes, bananas, bread/cheerios...but she'll spit out peas and corn....going to have to work on this! April continues to be a happy happy baby - bringing ...

Does anyone think it's interesting to compare photos of generations? I do! In a quest to prove that April looks like my cousin Erin did, I went hunting for some photos at my mom's house. I found one that I thought looked like April: They both have the "concentration" look going on! :) I kept going, and ended up finding some of me* that looked similar to April. I guess when I'm trying to look at other people for where April gets her looks, I'm not thinking of myself! * when I say "me", I actually mean Laura in the first picture and in the second one I don't really even know if it's me or her! ...

We've pulled out the sunglasses here recently because when the sun shines down on white snow, it's quite bright! And, I think little kids in sunglasses are adorable. I wrote a post about Chloe wearing her red-and-white glasses back in October 2009 ( click here ) and thought it would be fun to compare April in those same glasses..... On April 26th: February 2012: Growing growing!! Chloe is the one who was requesting the 'shades' - so I snapped a few photos of her too. Cutie pie :)

Remember when Chloe was able to say what "Daddy's store" was? Well, Kevin did a lot of work in this room of our basement in December, which led to a few trips to Home Depot :) Here's what it looked like the day of our home inspection (before we officially bought the home): and then we moved in, and it looked like this: and then it got even worse! We were having problems with the flooring, and had a lot of junk just thrown in without any organization. Now, it looks a lot better! Kevin replaced the flooring and all the baseboards and re-organized everything. It was a great opportunity to purge some of that junk! There might even be enough room for a ping-pong table :)

THREE Valentines' this year!! Love them all :)

Let's take a second to see Chloe at 6 months: And Chloe at 1 1/2 And now.....She's already 2 1/2.....Can't believe it :) How do I even begin to explain this little girl? Ball of energy, curious, kind-hearted, playful, loving....these all come to mind when thinking about Chloe. She has a sweet heart - and recently started asking "I help anything?" -- how nice!!! She is a great big sister! She loves April and I think she's learning that sharing is an okay thing. We try to teach her that she should have a heart that likes to share - but that's hard for a two year old sometimes! She likes to "pet" April (meaning, pat her on the head) and she also likes to hold her and then shout "camera!", so that I will take their picture together. Her favorite time of day is probably when Daddy gets home. She likes to climb up on the couch and wait for him. The second the car pulls into the driveway, she starts talking to Kevin, as though he can hea...

Chloe and her Daddy :) She wanted her picture taken with him the other night ~ meaning we got some pretty good ones :) Love them both!!

Working on another tooth means that April is sticking everything in her mouth! I feel like all my pictures of her have something covering up her face!! So it will pop all the way through and then my challenge will be to get a photo of those adorable two bottom teeth :)

When you are reading this on the evening of February 1st, it is already the morning of the 2nd in Korea....which means it's JungMin's birthday! Happy Birthday to our one-and-only sister-in-law! We hope you have a fantastic day! :) (I thought she'd love it if I posted this picture :) )
